OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY FOR A PARK AND A SOCCER FIELD IN LUKASHIN COMMUNITY OF RA ARMAVIR REGION
On November 6, the official opening ceremony of a community park and a soccer field, renovated by Lukashin Agricultural Consumer Cooperative within the framework of “Intermediary Service Organizations for Civil Society Development” project, was held in Lukashin, Armavir region, by the inter-community youth football championship.
Active residents from adjacent communities, headmasters and LG representatives were present at the event held in Lukashin.
Vardges Davtyan, the Director of “Lukashin” Agricultural Consumer Cooperative, mentioned in his speech: “The renovation of the community park and soccer field has made a great contribution to the activation of the sport and cultural life of Lukashin community. During the implementation of the project I felt the motivation of the residents,
because any action and initiative has been gaining more and more support from the community”.
In his welcoming speech, Artashes Torozyan, Partnership and Teaching/ P&T NGO Executive Director, highlighted the need for active involvement and participation of all stakeholders in the settlement of community issues, which guarantees the success of the initiative. A. Torozyan noted that this is a vivid example of such project implemented in Lukashin community with inter-sectoral cooperation and resource coordination, within a short period of time, community park and soccer field were renovated to activate the public life.
The official opening ceremony continued with the award ceremony of the winning teams and the symbolic tree planting of the children.
