The Official Presentation Ceremony of “Heavy Basket” Agricultural Consumer Cooperative
On December 26, at 12:00, the presentation of the “Heavy Basket” Agricultural Consumer Cooperative took place at “Jermuk Ashkharh” resort hall.
The Cooperative was founded in the frameworks of the “Social Entrepreneurship Development” project implemented with the financial support of “Lydian Armenia” Company by ”Partnership and Teaching”/ P&T NGO, and with the cooperation of HDP foundation/ “Human Dignity and Peace” and “Zangakatun” NGO in Jermuk, Gndevaz and Saravan communities of RA Vayots Dzor region and Gorayq community of Syunik Region.
The purpose of the presentation was to present the activities, goals and objectives of the social entrepreneurship to the community residents, social sector organizations , LG members, partner and donor organizations and other stakeholders.
At the opening of the presentation, the cooperative president Samvel Torosyan came forward with welcoming speech, he greeted and thanked for the interest shown by all the guests. In his speech, S. Torosyan expressed his gratitude to “Lydian Armenia”, “Partnership and Teaching”/P&T NGO and / “Human Dignity and Peace” (HDP) for the significant contribution to the establishment and development of the cooperative.
Executive Director of Partnership and Teaching/P&T NGO Artashes Torozyan, Lydian Armenia Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Karen Arakelyan, and Mr. Davtyan, the Counselor of Vayots Dzor Jermuk Community Head, welcomed the participants during the event.
During the event, Armine Ginosyan, a member of the “Heavy Basket” Agricultural Consumer Cooperative, presented to all the participants the whole process of the cooperative’s implementation within the framework of the “Social Entrepreneurship Development” program, from the capacity building of the members of the social entrepreneurship to the creation of the cooperative, clarification of production processes and effective sales organization.
During the presentation, a formal ceremony of awarding Thanksgiving Certificates by P&T NGO to the organizations that have contributed to the development of the cooperative and successful graduates of capacity building phase.
The presentation continued with the opening of the “Heavy Basket” Agricultural Consumer Cooperative Taste Festival, during which all the participants were given the opportunity to taste the goods made by the efforts of the cooperative and get acquainted with and appreciate the organization’s products and their high quality. During the event, an EXPO of goods was also held which provided sales for 30,000 AMD.
