 “ACCESSIBLE HIGHER EDUCATION: CHALLENGES AND SOLUTION WAYS”

REGIONAL FORUM 

On April 26 in Goris Enlarged Community, Goris State University, hosted the “Accessible Higher Education: Challenges and Solutions” Regional Forum.

       

The Regional Forum was implemented with the financial support of the European Union (EU) in the framework of the  Commitment to Constructive Dialogue Program, conducted by the Armenian Lawyers Association, under the “Accessible Higher Education” sub-grant project implemented by GUM NGO.

        

The Regional Forum was aimed at presenting stakeholders the results of the monitoring on scholarships and financial support polices conducted at  three Higher Educational Institutions of Syunik marzes (Goris State University, Kapan branch of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Foundation, Sisian branch of the Armenian National Agrarian University Foundation).

       

Rectors, lecturers, students, representatives of Goris community CSOs and local governments participated in the regional forum.

Rector of Goris State University Artyusha Ghukasyan, Director of Kapan Branch of “National Polytechnic University of Armenia” Arthur Kostandyan and Executive Director of P & T NGO Artashes Torozyan made speeches on welcoming the participants of the regional forum and highlighting the importance of the event.
The monitoring report presented to the participants A. Toroyan. The presentation of the report was accompanied by a question and answer.

    

In the second part of the Regional Forum, stakeholders worked with groups and developed recommendations to address the identified problems.
