“YOUTH AS COMMUNITY CHANGE ACTORS” PROJECT LAUNCHED

On October 31, within the framework of “Youth as Community Change Actors” project, co-financed by European Union, meetings were held in Urtsadzor and Shaghap communities of RA Ararat region.

The meetings were aimed at informing young people and stakeholders among them: municipality and business sector representatives, managers of educational institutions, active residents from beneficiary communities, about the project goals and expected results.

                    

During the meetings of  Urtsadzor and Shaghap communities, the head of  Urtsadzor enlarged community, R. Andreasyan welcomed the participants . In his opening speech, the community head  highlighted the effective contribution of the project, which will give capacity building opportunities to the young people and new  ways of solving community issues. R. Andreasyan highly appreciated the initiative of Partnership and Teaching/P&T NGO  and expressed the willingness of the community to support the project implementation process.

                   

 

               P&T NGO Executive Director, A. Torozyan also greeted the participants, in his speech he highlighted direct involvement and consistency of beneficiaries in the project implementation process.

During the meetings P&T NGO Organizational Development Manager, A. Avetisyan and the representative of “Youth for Development” foundation D. Margaryan made a presentation on phases and planned actions of the project.

                      

“Youth as Community Change Actors” project is aimed at promoting the development of youth capacities and enhancing their role in the community development process in Urtsadzor  and Goris enlarged communities.
