“NGO NEW LAW. OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES” SEMINAR-DISCUSSION IN GORIS AND EGHEGNADZOR

On March 18 the CSO representatives from Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions were informed about NGO new law, they had also opportunity to get the answers to their questions.

For that reason in the scope of “Intermediary Service Organizations for Civil Society Development” project, financed by USAID, “Partnership and Teaching”/P&T NGO has organized seminar-discussions on “NGO new law: opportunities and challenges” in Goris and Yeghegnadzor. Seminar-discussions has been conducted by Nune Pepanyan and Christine Grigoryan, the experts of RA Ministry of Justice and CSOs.

The representatives of CSOs and non-formal groups of Syunik region: Goris, Sisian, Kapan, Meghri communities  and Vayots Dzor region: Yeghegnadzor and Vayq communities have participated in  seminar-discussions.

Artashes Torozyan, the executive director of P&T NGO and Lusine Hakobyan, the representative of USAID , started the seminar-discussions with opening speeches. They presented the main goal of the seminar-discussion, thanked everyone for participation by emphasizing the importance of the meeting for the NGOs.

During the first half of the discussions, Christine Grigoryan, the representative of RA Ministry of Justice presented the main changes relating to the law after which the participants had opportunity to ask questions and get additional information.

During the second half of the meeting, the participants discussed NGO law changes. The participants came forward with new proposals.
