“YOUTH AS COMMUNITY CHANGE ACTORS” PROJECT’S PRESENTATION MEETINGS CONTINUE
On November 1, within the framework of “Youth as Community Change Actors” project, presentation meetings were held in RA Syunik region, Goris enlarged community (Goris and Karahunj communities).
In Goris the meeting was held at Goris State University, where 50 young people from the University and Goris State Pedagogical College participated in the meeting. Menua Hovsepyan, the acting head of Goris community, was also present at the meeting.
20 young participated in the meeting, held in Karahunj community, Lusine Avetyan, the administrative representative of Karahunj community, was also present at the meeting, she welcomed P&T NGO initiative and called on young people to actively participate in the project.
The meetings were aimed at informing young people of the goal of “Youth as Community Change Actors” project and contributing to young people’s involvement and participation in the project.
In Goris the meeting opened Artashes Torozyan, P&T NGO Executive Director. He welcomed the participants, highlighted young people’s active involvement in the project and thanked the young people for their participation and great interest.
Menua Hovsepyan, the acting head of Goris community, also welcomed the participants, he also called on young people to actively participate in the project and cooperate with P&T NGO and community municipality, develop their community and come up with interesting ideas. He also mentioned that Goris municipality is always ready to support the implementation of meetings aimed at community development.
During the second half of the meeting Margarita Achikyan, the representative of “Youth for Development” foundation, presented the opportunities and deadlines of the project.
The meetings were summarized with questions and answers. Young people showed great interest and expressed their desire to take part in the project.
“Youth as Community Change Actors” project, co-financed by European Union, is implemented by the cooperation of Partnership &Teaching/P&T NGO, Public Consultation and Research Center (PCRC) NGO, Youth For Development Foundation, Labor rights defender (mediator) office NGO.
